Towards the end of the year 1784, General La Fayette visited Washington and brought with him a beautiful Masonic apron of white satin, on which the Masonic emblems had been magnificently worked by the Marquise La Fayette, who had given it as a gift. while the general offered her a beautiful rosewood box.
This Masonic apron is now in the possession of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania.
