Description
Stunning antique Royal Arch Masonic ceremonial apron made of red velvet, white leather, and metallic embroidery. Dates to the late 19th to early 20th century: Frank Henderson merged his regalia business with Ames Sword Company in 1893, Kalamazoo, MI. In addition to manufacturing masonic and fraternal garb, they made military uniforms during WW1. The company continued through the twenties, but was hit hard by the depression and ended up merging with the Lilley Company of Columbus, OH, moving their entire operations from Kalamazoo.
